Permits for wind power projects in Germany have soared to an all-time high during the first quarter of 2024, while the volume of new installations entering operations has also risen strongly, the country’s specialist agency for wind energy (FA Wind) said.
More than 460 new wind turbines with a combined capacity of 2.6GW were permitted in the quarter, almost 40% more than in the same period last year, FA Wind said.
