“These acquisitions complete the land needed for our South Kent Wind project,” says Pattern chief executive Mike Garland in a statement.
The project is to be built on private agricultural land in the Municipality of Chatham-Kent. Final permitting, a power purchase agreement and landowner and community engagement lie ahead.
“We expect to begin construction in 2012 and complete the project in 2013,” Colin Edwards, Pattern’s head developer for South Kent, tells Recharge in an email.
Pattern is not disclosing the amount of land or other details of the four projects it has acquired with Samsung.
