Developer Parkwind will press ahead with construction of its 219MW Northwester 2 wind farm in Belgian waters after closing a €700m ($806m) finance package for the project.
Northwester 2 – to be built 50km off the coast of Ostend – will mark the first commercial deployment of the MHI Vestas V164 9.5MW wind turbine, currently the most powerful on the market.
