Nordic developer OX2 has applied for a Natura 2000 permit for an about 1.7GW offshore wind project in the Kattegat off southern Sweden that links the Baltic with the North Sea.
The twin project called Galatea-Galene - named after Greek sea nymphs - isn’t OX2’s only offshore wind project, but the first for which it has sought a permit, a press official told Recharge.
