Danish offshore wind champion Orsted has raised its renewable energy expansion target and now plans to reach about 50GW of installed capacity by 2030, up from 30GW previously envisaged and the 12GW currently operational.

The group plans to invest some DKr350bn ($57.3bn) between 2020 and 2027 to reach the ambitious goal, which means accelerating average annual spending by about 50% since its last capital markets day.
