Orsted has been granted a so-called electricity business license by South Korea’s ministry of trade, industry and energy for a 1.6GW offshore wind zone, which the Danish utility said will be the East Asian country’s largest on completion.
The license grants Orsted exclusive development rights for a project located some 70 kilometres off Incheon, a port city west of Seoul.
