Developers Orsted and US Wind have handed in their bids to the Maryland Public Service Commission (PSC) for a slice of 1.2GW of offshore wind capacity that is being leased off by the north-east US state in its Round 2 auction.

Both developers have submitted so-called best and final offers (Bafo) to the PSC for development sites, each bidding what were claimed to be lower OREC (offshore renewable energy credit) schedule prices and higher investment pledges in the contest, though the actual dollar figures were redacted in the bidding documents.
