The US state of Connecticut has finalised an agreement with joint venture partners Orsted and Eversource to transform part of New London port into a central hub in New England for the fast-developing offshore wind industry.
Connecticut joins Massachusetts and neighbouring Rhode Island in an increasingly heated competition to gain first-mover quayside staging advantage, with the three states having contracted 3.1GW
