Vestas announced more than one gigawatt in orders before the end of the year, driven by large demand from the US, Australia and Brazil.
One of the biggest final orders of 2022 came from an undisclosed wind project in Australia, for 252MW in machines from the Danish manufacturer’s EnVentus platform in a 6MW operating mode. Delivery of the turbines is expected in the first quarter of 2024, with commissioning planned for the fourth quarter of the same year.
