Oil player Sapura hit with $54m claim over Taiwan offshore wind walkaway

Oil & gas contractor Sapura Energy has been hit with a €50m ($54m) claim over its abrupt exit from the Yunlin offshore wind project in Taiwan.

Malaysia-based Sapura told investors today (Tuesday) that Yunneng Wind Power – the Yunlin project company – filed a request for arbitration in Germany, citing the sum as a preliminary figure to cover breaches of contract alleged against Sapura.
