Oil giant TotalEnergies dives into US offshore wind with EnBW and Simply Blue tie-ups

TotalEnergies became the latest European oil & gas supermajor to set out its ambitions in the US offshore wind sector as it flagged up partnerships in fixed-foundation and floating development with EnBW and Simply Blue Energy, respectively.

TotalEnergies said it will work in a joint venture (JV) with German utility group EnBW over US east coast offshore wind bidding.

The group is also forming a JV with sector pioneer Simply Blue for “floating wind pre-development” in the US, according to material presented during TotalEnergies’ strategy day presentation to shareholders.
