The offshore wind industry “will start to take shape” outside Western Europe next year, with the announcement of new targets, tenders and investment in supply chains, according to the Power and Renewables: Key Themes for 2019 report by Fitch Solutions Macro Research.

The study also expects solar panel prices to fall globally due to a supply glut brought on by subsidy cuts in China and tariffs on Chinese and Malaysian PV equipment in the US and India, which will result in even lower bids for solar projects.
