Offshore wind strengthened its position as RWE’s largest business segment, pushing nine-month earnings higher at the German power producer along with other renewable and conventional generation.

Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) at the world’s second biggest operator of wind at sea rose 13% to €2.2bn in the first nine months of 2020 compared to pro-forma year-earlier figures, pushing adjusted net income to €762bn.
