The board of Danish offshore wind champion Orsted has appointed Mads Nipper to follow Henrik Poulsen as its new chief executive from January.

Nipper currently is CEO and group president at Danish pump manufacturer Grundfos. Poulsen in June announced he will resign as CEO next year.

“Anchored in a clear sustainability vision, Mads has led a highly successful transformation of Grundfos over the past six years that has reinforced the company’s position in an increasingly competitive market, while also strengthening financial performance,” Orsted chairman Thomas Thune Andersen said.
