Profit in the renewables segment of EnBW doubled during the first half of 2020, helping the German utility weather the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) in renewable energies rose to €426m ($501m) during the first six months of 2020, a 100% increase from the same period a year earlier, largely due to the Hohe See and Albatros wind farms in the German part of the North Sea coming into operation.
