The American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) seized on the passage within the Council's 72-page Road Map to Renewal report [PDF] as an endorsement of its highest priority issue: extending the Production Tax Credit (PTC) for wind generation, which expires at the end of the year.
The report, which emphasises the need to develop all of the country's energy sources, including renewables, also advocates tax incentives to promote research and development (R&D).
