Yesterday, the centre-right coalition led by Prime Minister Erna Solberg lost the Norwegian general election, and a new centre-left government will now be formed by Labour Party leader Jonas Gahr Støre.

While outgoing oil & energy minister Tina Bru deserves praise for opening up two zones in the North Sea for offshore wind development, it will now be up to a new minister to deliver on the country’s long-standing offshore wind ambitions.
