A Nkr3.6bn ($377m) package of measures unveiled by the Norwegian government to promote renewables development has gained a lukewarm response within political and industry circles.

Prime Minister Erna Solberg's administration has proclaimed “a new lift for offshore wind” with funding of Nkr10m to be provided for a new research centre for environmentally friendly energy and an additional Nkr15 million for a new project to develop the supply chain and delivery model for offshore wind.
