The Norwegian government has sent a proposal for a resource rent tax on onshore wind power for consultation that could be a serious blow for the sector.
The tax, foreseen to kick in already next year at a rate of 40%, is meant to let society share more in the profit generated from the Nordic country’s vast natural resources.
The tax according to Recharge sister publication Europower will be levied on turnover.
