Norway’s petroleum and energy ministry suggested it won't pay subsidies to bottom-fixed projects or cover grid costs for operators in its upcoming 4.5GW offshore wind tender, but is considering support for floating wind.

The ministry has put out the proposals for public consultation in conjunction with a white-paper called Putting Energy to Work, which explores long-term value creation from the country’s renewable offshore energy resources.
