Canadian investment group Northleaf Capital has bought a 40% stake in the 228MW Lal Lal wind farms - two projects located near Ballarat in the Australian state of Victoria - from developer Macquarie Capital.
Northleaf said construction of the two wind farms is already underway with the projects expected to be fully operational by the second half of 2019. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
