Northland Power has towed-in the world’s first mono-bucket offshore wind foundation from the 269MW Deutsche Bucht wind farm in the German North Sea after the pioneering demonstrator project “didn’t work”, a press official of the Canadian energy group told Recharge.
“We have just extracted the mono-bucket and it was taken away for further analysis of the root cause,” the official said, without disclosing further information.
