The Japanese government is poised to introduce measures that will restrict the construction of onshore and offshore wind farms in areas where they could potentially interfere with the nation's defence radar systems, according to a Kyodo news agency report.
A bill, which is due to be laid before the Diet as soon as the Japanese legislature reconvenes, will require businesses to notify the government of plans to build wind facilities in zones designated by the defence ministry.
