The Nordex Group has installed a 5.7MW wind turbine - the first of its N149/5.X model - at the Genshagener Heide wind farm near Potsdam, Germany, which will start operations later this month.
The German-Spanish wind turbine manufacturer had unveiled the 5MW-plus model in early 2019 as a version of its Delta4000 platform of 4 to 5MW machines, saying it plans to market the large turbine in its European core markets as well as in growth regions such as South Africa, Australia and South America.
