Nordex confirmed the largest deal yet for the most powerful wind turbine in its range with a 923MW order for its N163/5.X in Australia.
Developer Acciona Energia placed a firm order for 162 of the turbines operating at 5.7MW for its Macintyre project in the state of Queensland.
The firm deal forms the bulk of a 1GW-plus Australian order Nordex said was in the works with Acciona Energia when it released an update to investors in June.
