Orsted because of a price cap on bids has not participated in the latest up to 1.6GW offshore wind solicitation in the US state of Massachusetts, chief financial officer Marianne Wiinholt said.
But the Danish offshore wind champion lobbied successfully to get the price cap removed in the next auction, the CFO added.
“There was a price cap in the bid condition, and with our calculations, we could not get to a competitive business case on that,” Wiinholt said at a conference call on third quarter results.
