Romania and other countries surrounding the Black Sea are only likely to start installing first offshore wind turbines in the 2030s, but developers should enter the markets now in order to shape them early on, Wood Mackenzie analyst Pia Nottrott told Recharge.

The analyst late last month published its report Romania: Unlocking the winds of the Black Sea that examines potential there and in other so-called ‘pre-emerging’ offshore wind markets in Europe.
