Danish cable-maker NKT has confirmed it has been awarded a turnkey contract for delivery and installation of the export cable for the 950MW Moray East wind farm, located in the Outer Moray Firth off the northeast coast of Scotland.
The project company Moray Offshore Windfarm East Ltd (MOWEL) – a joint venture between Portugal’s EDPR (56.7%), France’s Engie (23.3%), and Mitsubishi’s UK-based subsidiary Diamond Generating Europe (20%) – has signed the final binding agreement on the project.
