A year ago Florida-based NextEra said it planned to bring 3.36GW-3.66GW of new wind and solar capacity online during the 2015/16 period. But with a strong 2016 in the making, NextEra now expects its two-year tally to exceed 4GW – “the most successful period for renewables development in our history”, says chief financial officer John Ketchum.
More remarkably, NextEra now says it will build 2.8GW-5.4GW
