New York signs on dotted line for 2.5GW of US offshore wind power from oil duo Equinor-BP

The US state of New York took another key step forward on its quest for 9GW of offshore wind power by 2035 with the signing of a purchase and sales agreement (PSA) with Equinor and BP for nearly 2.5GW of generation from the Empire Wind 2 and Beacon Wind projects off the east coast.
