New York’s offshore wind developers are seeking up to 55% more for their contracted power to continue projects amid spiralling costs, the New York Energy Research and Development Authority (Nyserda) noted in its response to their petitions for relief to the state utilities regulator.
Nyserda coordinates state offshore wind development. It said that the hikes could add nearly $40 to already high annual electric bills.
