'New York could be the supply chain capital for US offshore wind'

These are exciting times for New York State and the entire offshore wind industry in the US.

Last month, the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) received an unprecedented and historic response to its inaugural solicitation for 800MW or more of offshore wind. The anticipated-awarded projects will pave the way for the development of a new clean energy resource to help meet Governor Andrew Cuomo’s proposed Green New Deal mandate of 70% of the state’s electricity coming from renewable sources by 2030.
