Maryland’s Public Service Commission (PSC) will open its application window on 1 January for project developers to submit proposals for supply of up to 1.2GW capacity that could be eligible for offshore wind energy credits (ORECs), Recharge has learned.

“Legislation calls for an additional 1,200MW in three rounds. A minimum of 400MW each year for the next three years but developers could apply for all of that at once if they chose to,” said Tori Leonard, communications director at PSC.
