A looming shortage of specialised offshore wind vessels could pose a risk to project execution in the emerging offshore wind market in Poland and the wider Baltic Sea, a new report by WindEurope and the Polish Wind Energy Association (PWEA) warned.

Investments are urgently needed in the Eastern European country and other Baltic Sea states to deliver their current offshore wind ambitions, and Poland in particular should see the shortage as an opportunity to build up a fleet of modern vessels to service national and international markets, WindEurope said.
