Wind turbine manufacturer Nordex has won an order for the 196MW Castle Gap wind project in the US state of Texas from Swift Current Energy.

The German-Spanish OEM will supply 41 of its N149/4.X turbines to the project in Mills and Lampasas Counties.

The Castle Gap wind farm is expected to start operations by the end of next year. The contract comes with a five-year service agreement.
