In a poll of more than 1,000 Americans conducted from 10-14 August by market research firm SSRS on AWEA’s behalf, 70% of registered voters nationally said they have a favourable impression of wind energy. That includes more than 60% of the Republicans and Independents polled.
Even more striking, a recent poll conducted by the nonpartisan Texas Clean Energy Coalition found that 85% of registered voters in Texas – a heavily conservative state with nearly 18GW of wind installed – support clean energy like wind.
