Today’s unanimous vote mirrored an earlier one this year by New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU) commissioners, leaving the project in regulatory limbo and the developer unable to access ratepayer subsidy support under the 2010 Offshore Wind Energy Development Act (OWEDA).

The developer did not issue an immediate response to the eight-page ruling.

The latest vote came in response to a superior court order in August that overturned BPU’s initial ruling.
