Enercon will stop sourcing concrete towers from WEC Turmbau, a production partner that operates a plant in the Eastern German city of Magdeburg, and concentrate output in Emden near its northwest Germany headquarters, as the market slump in the OEM’s home market deepens.

The co-operation with the manufacturer, which has long been closely associated with the wind turbine maker, will end at the end of the second quarter of 2020, a company spokesman told Recharge.
