EU energy commissioner Kadri Simson will hold crunch talks with her counterpart in Beijing this week before a decision is made over a fair-trade probe into Chinese wind imports into Europe.
Simson said the EU wants to “avoid any kind of trade war” over the issue of wind equipment, but added “never say never” when asked if she would rule out measures against Chinese turbines that Europe’s wind industry claims are being offered on unfair terms.
