Regulators earlier approved the developer’s plan for the 210MW Wind Rose I project that included 70 Alstom turbines and a substation on private agricultural land in Cypress County, southeast of the city of Medicine Hat.
The developer now wants to utilize 68 Siemens 3.2MW turbines with a hub height of 92.5 meters and a rotor diameter of 113 meters. This would result in total project nameplate generation capacity of 217.6MW.
