Chinese coastal city Qingdao linked with a little-known turbine-maker to plot a 2GW floating offshore wind-to-hydrogen plant in the Yellow Sea that's the nation's largest planned so far, in a project with massive ambitions but few hard details at this stage.

The project would combine a floating offshore wind farm with aquaculture and hydrogen production in the “far and deep” waters off Xiaoguan Island, off Shandong province, said Blue Valley Industrial Development Zone, one of the partners involved.
