The 400MW project, under development near the Danish island of Anholt in the Kattegat seas, will be one of the fastest-built offshore wind farms in the world.

In order qualify for the full subsidy offered by the Danish government, the project must be feeding the grid by late 2012 and fully commissioned by the end of 2013.

“The project has a series of challenges, including the soil conditions and a very tight schedule,” acknowledges MT Højgaard vice president Bente Østerbye.
