Mitsubishi to test hydraulic transmission as it eyes offshore wind in UK and beyond

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) expects to test a prototype gearless offshore wind turbine with an innovative hydraulic transmission system in 2013, which the Japanese group believes will enable it to become a leader in the UK market and beyond.
