Nordex has received an order from an unnamed client for a 200MW cold climate wind power project in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan.

“In the winter months temperatures there can go down to -30 degrees Celsius,” Nordex said.

“The turbines will therefore be supplied in the cold climate version, meaning that they can be operated at such low temperatures.”

The German OEM is slated to supply 36 of its N155/5.X machines for the wind farm, which is expected to reach full commercial operation in 2024.
