Chinese wind turbine maker MingYang Smart Energy will next year debut its largest model to be commercially deployed so far when it delivers 14MW machines for a gigascale project off China, the company said.

MingYang announced an order for 50 of its MySE 14-260 machines for 700MW of the 1GW Fanshiyi project being built in 40-48-metre depths off Guangdong province by development giant CGN.

The Chinese OEM claimed the delivery, due in the third quarter of 2023, “proves its competitiveness in innovating and improving large offshore wind technologies”.
