Danish-Japanese joint venture MHI Vestas has signed a purchase agreement to source turbine towers for its first offshore wind projects in Taiwan from the CS Wind/Chin Fong partnership, in an effort to meet government-set localization requests.
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Danish turbine maker Vestas each own half of MHI Vestas.
This deal covers the complete tower supply for the OEM’s Taiwanese projects: Changfang Phases 1&2, Xidao and Zhong Neng.
