Plans for up to 4.4GW of offshore wind off Taiwan that would be a contender for the world’s largest development yet were unveiled by Swancor Renewable Energy, owned by US investment firm Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners.
The huge Formosa 4 development – which could include both fixed-bottom and floating foundations – is proposed for three areas in a site 18-20km off Miaoli County.
