The Joint Committee on Telecommunications, Utilities and Energy will hear Bill 2881 sponsored by Representative Patricia Haddad on 29 September and Bill 2851 sponsored by Representative Antonio Cabral on 27 October.
The hearings will allow for public comment that is expected to include testimony from citizens, interest groups and scientific experts.
The bills would allow retailers to apply power contracted long-term from offshore wind facilities towards state renewable mandates.
