Maryland’s Public Service Commission (PSC) has set a date in January 2020 for a public hearing to consider potential impacts related to US Wind and Orsted employing larger turbines than earlier envisioned for a number of offshore wind projects, and further proceedings may follow, Recharge has learned.

PSC’s finding that their plans to adopt different model and greater size turbines constitute “material changes” to both projects came after it reviewed public comments on the turbine issue submitted in recent weeks.
