'Make or break': EU wind industry flags key green power auction concerns

The wind sector still faces uncertainty around future auction design as the EU prepares to finalise rules that will “make or break” the bloc’s Net Zero Industry Act (NZIA), warned WindEurope.

The industry group flagged concerns over key areas around auction prequalification and criteria after the European Council of member states on Thursday agreed its position ahead of final negotiations to set the landmark policy, highlighting “divergence” from the European Parliament’s own previously stated position.
